Current Exhibitions

Just a quick update about some group exhibitions where my work can be seen over the next few days and weeks.

Now through May 19th:
National Fiber Directions at the Wichita Center for the Arts:
Tangential Section and Reeds were selected for this National Juried Exhibition

Through July 2nd:
In the Mind's Eye At Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art in Marietta, GA
Bark was selected for this exhibition and it won the Complex Weaver's Award!

This show was juried by Catherine Ellis. I'm a big fan of her work so it's extra nice to get this recognition!

Until this Sunday:
ArtFields in Lake City, SC
My installation, Capillary Action is in this art festival/competition, which includes the chance to win up to $50,000! There's a ton of great work in the show though, so while my fingers are crossed I'm mostly just excited to be part of such a big project.  If you make it to this tiny town outside Columbia, vote for my piece!

Tonight! At Sicky Nar Nar in Savannah, GA I have brand new work in the Vegetable Lamb Exhibtion Sponsored by Cotton Inc.  The work in this show is so new I don't even have a photograph that's web worthy to show you!

Also I am going to Pittsburgh this summer for an Artist Residency/Internship at the Society for Contemporary Craft. I will be working on a fiber installation in their space while teaching workshops and giving demonstrations in a variety of fiber processes.  More details will be announce soon, but if you're in the area come by and visit, I will be working on the installation 5 days a week for most of the summer!

  1. Jennifer,
Your work is amazing. I am happy that I found your blog so that I can follow what you do in the future.
I enjoyed getting to know you while working on Gabriel Dawe's Plexus installation.
Do you have an MFA show coming up at SCAD soon?
All the best with your residency in Pgh... my old hometown!

    1. Hi Suzy,

Thanks for your kind words! I will be having my MFA exhibition in the fall once I get back from Pittsburgh. I'm still determining the exact dates and location but I'll be sure to post the information here when it gets closer!
